I was planning to spend two or three months in China to learn more on the culture, support the local team and transfer some information from the headquarter to the region. Well, nice thought. Now that are the olympics, China does a lot to keep (not wanted) visitors outisde the country. That’s maybe OK for safety and political reasons, but for business this is terrible. It took me 4 weeks to get the papers together, actually still waiting for some.
– You need a official invitation – in chinese letters – from a china official
– All flights and accomodation to be booked
– Detailed agenda required (to know where you going and whom you will meet !?)
– A „polizeiliches Führungszeugnis“ is required (to tell you are not a criminal ?!)
> All done- Apply for Visa and hope. And don’t try to change anything!
